50 years ago today (8/31/73) The Rolling Stones released Goats Head Soup, their 11th British and 13th American studio album. Although not as filled with familiar hits as other Stones albums, the album is perhaps one of their most overlooked and contains many a raw and dark rocker. Goats Head Soup featured “Angie”, which went to No. 1 as a single in the US and top 5 in the UK and the other single “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)”.
