56 Years Ago Today- The Beatles Released Debut LP ‘Please Please Me’

56 years ago today (3/22/63), The Beatles released their debut album Please Please Me. The album was made during one day of recording and elevated the Beatles from a Liverpool bar band to iconic and legendary rock status.  Of the album’s 14 songs, eight were written by Lennon–McCartney, yet the album as a whole still today sounds like a unified Beatles effort despite their young and eager age.
