8 years ago today (8/9/09), Them Crooked Vultures, a supergroup featuring Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones and Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme give their debut performance at the sold-out Metro club in Chicago. They perform a 12-song, 80-minute set. The band’s first single “New Fang” was released in October 2009, followed by the group’s self-titled debut album the following month, debuting at number 12 on the Billboard 200.
