As one of the most artistically endearing performers around, Newsom, although known for being a standout harpist is also a crafty songwriter who utilizes both cryptic and pastoral lyrics and composes music both progressive and enchanting. With only four full lengths to her credit, a new Newsom tour and album holds special occasion significance among her fanbase. Just dont call it “freak folk” – that’s so 2006.
