Happy 38th birthday to Jim James of My Morning Jacket who was born on 4/27/78 as James Edward Olliges, Jr. As the vocalist, frontman, producer and lead songwriter for My Morning Jacket, James has become one of rock’s most electrifying live performer, producing sounds that run a gamut of genres atop his love of reverb. James has also released two solo full-length albums and has lent a hand to other collaborative bands including The New Basement Tapes and Monsters of Folk.
