Happy 38th birthday to Sturgill Simpson who was born on 6/8/78. Sturgill has released two albums independently, High Top Mountain in 2013[ and Metamodern Sounds in Country Music in 2014. The latter album was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Americana Album and has elevated him to platform as one of today’s premier singer-songwriters and a twangy vibrato that rivals that of Waylon Jennings.
