Happy 50th birthday to the accomplished and versatile British folk-electronica artist Beth Orton (born 12/14/70), who over the course of six albums, has found her running the gamut of singer-songwriter experimentalism. From her early efforts with electronica artists William Orbit and the Chemical Brothers to albums Trailer Park (1996) and Central Reservation (1999) that have earned best of decade nods, shes remained a critic favorite and gathered a devoted following.
