Happy 70th birthday today to one of the most important and powerful female voices in the history of rock- Ann Wilson of Heart (born 6/19/50). Along with sister Nancy, Heart has earned its entry into the rock and roll hall of fame with its take on being the female Led Zeppelin with over 35 million records worldwide sold and big hits that include “Barracuda,” “Crazy On You” and “Magic Man.” Heart also was granted a revival in the mid 80’s MTV video era with a string of hits (“These Deams,” “Never,” “Alone”) earning them a continual fan base through successive decades.
