Happy 70th birthday today to Donna Jean Godchaux who was born on 8/22/47. Donna Jean is best known for her time spent in the Grateful Dead on vocals from 1971-1979. Along with her then husband Keith, Donna added a harmonic dimension that helped define some of the strongest years in the Dead’s history.
