Happy 70th birthday today to trailblazing rocker Suzi Quatro (born 6/3/50), noticed as perhaps the first rock star female bass player. Directly influencing the Runaways, Quatro brought her Detroit cred with a loud sound and confidence not seen from females in the rock spectrum that weren’t sole lead singers.
