Happy 70th Birthday To Ace Frehley, The Coolest Member of KISS (Listen to ’78 Solo LP)

Happy 70th birthday today to Ace Frehley (born 4/27/51), the free-spirited, somewhat lazy, yet insanely talented guitarist for KISS (formerly) and his own solo endeavors including Frehley’s Comet. As the original lead guitarist and co-founding member of KISS, Frehley developed his persona as The Spaceman and was a guitar hero to many future guitarists including Dimebag Darrell and Tom Morello. Frehley left KISS for the first time in 1982 yet rejoined Gene, Paul and Peter in 1996 for a reunion tour in full makeup. Frehley left again in 2001, yet everyone still wonders if we’ll see Ace back in KISS makeup again. In honor of Ace’s 70th, let’s revisit his glorious 1978 solo album (arguably the knock-down best of the four solo LPs)…
