Happy 75th birthday today to Jeff Beck who was born on 6/24/44. As one of the three noted guitarists to have played with The Yardbirds (the other two being Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page). Beck also formed The Jeff Beck Group which featured a young Rod Stewart and Ron Wood. Beck helped introduce electronic distortion, and helped to redefine the sound and role of the electric guitar in rock music. Watch the Jeff Beck Group circa 1972 play “Morning Dew”….
