Happy 72nd birthday to Phil Collins who was born on 1/30/51. Collins has done it all as a drummer and lead singer of Genesis (from 1976 on) and one of the 80’s biggest pop stars as a solo act: not bad for a short bald guy. Collins is among the best-selling music artists of all time with 33.5 million RIAA-certified albums sold in the US and an estimated 150 million worldwide. He is one of three recording artists (along with Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson) who have sold over 100 million albums worldwide both as solo artists and (separately) as principal members of a band.
