Happy 75th birthday today to the pioneer of heavy metal bass playing – Geezer Butler, born on 7/17//49. The Black Sabbath founding member’s contributions to rock and metal are endless, while it must be noted that Butler wrote the majority of Black Sabbath’s lyrics during the Ozzy Osborne era- helping to contribute to the band’s black and gloom imagery.
