Happy 79th birthday today to George Clinton who was born on 7/22/41. The “Prime Minister of Funk” lead Parliament and Funkadelic to memorable heights during the 1970s and early 1980s, creating one of music’s most innovative bodies of work mixing funk, soul, psychedelic and rock. Clinton with his festive and substance fueled stage presentation the deep sound to cosmic territories and creating a “groovallegiance” music vocabulary.
