Happy 75th birthday today to multi-instrumentalist Robert Wyatt (born 1/28/45) and the adventurer of all things jazz fusion, psychedelia and progressive rock, who was also a member of Soft Machine. As a solo artist Wyatt scored the 1983 UK No.35 single ‘Shipbuilding’. During an alcohol-fuelled party in London in 1983, an inebriated Wyatt fell from a fourth-floor window and ended up paralyzed from the waist down and consequently uses a wheelchair.
