Ryan Adams Cancels moe.down Gig – Satellite Party Replaces

Ryan Adams & The Cardinals have canceled their appearance at the moe.down festival for "personal reasons," but the gap has been filled by Satellite Party.
"We are thrilled to have Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party on board for moe.down," moe.’s Al Schnier said "Jane’s Addiction was a huge influence when moe. first got together. Jane’s had a unique way of taking heavy alternative music and making it very psychedelic.
And of course, Perry’s Lollapalooza was very influential on us. While moe.down is on a different scale & perspective, the vibe is the same – music, camping, vendors, non-profits, a kids tent & parade – all borne out of our experiences as fans of Lollapalooza."
The eighth annual moe.down takes place August 31, September 1 and 2 at the Snow Ridge Ski area in Turin, N.Y. Moe. will perform a total of six sets throughout the weekend as the host band.
A limited number of tickets are available at $95 until they are sold out or until August 12. After that, tickets will be $110. More info is available at www.moe.org/moedown.
The current festival line-up now features Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party, The Roots, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Amos Lee, Meat Puppets, Strangefolk, State Radio, Al and the Transamericans, Rolla, Ryan Montbleau, Lotus, Ra Ra Riot, Ha Ha the Moose, The Brakes, Uncle Earl, VietNam, and Acoustic Forum.
