We’ve been following the career of Lissie since all the way back to December of 2009, right around the time that the singer-songwriter released her five-song EP of soulful, sun-baked folk-rock called Why You Runnin’. Since then Ms. Maurus has dropped her full-length debut, an EP of radically rearranged covers ranging from Metallica to Kid Cudi to Lady Gaga, toured the world and played just about every major music festival around. Last week Lissie gave a preview of her yet-to-be-named sophomore album, which is rumored to be hitting stores this spring, by releasing the music video for the record’s lead single Shameless, and has announced a world tour, her first in roughly two years. The 18-date run kicks off with a high profile appearance at the Hangout Music Festival on May 17.
