Badfish Announces Lineup For Third AnnualGarden Grove Festival

Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime, continues to be one of the top-grossing independent acts in history.  The band has been successful in building a tour following for several years, but since SPIN Magazine featured them last fall, the attendance numbers have been staggering.  Out of 54 shows from October 2007 until now, Badfish has sold out 28 of them, and eight of those were sold out in advance – amounting to almost 60,000 tickets sold.

In keeping with recent tradition, Badfish has announced its third annual Garden Grove Festival.
This year’s event will take place at the 2500+ capacity Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Saturday, August 2.  In addition to Badfish, other bands confirmed are Scotty Don’t, Midfall Drive, Word, Baldi & Suburban Graffiti and Flight’s Cool.

The first Garden Grove Festival was in the summer of 2006 at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts, and was born from the idea of creating an all day annual event to celebrate the music and spirit of Sublime, with Badfish and some of their favorite bands, many of whom were inspired by Sublime.  With nearly 1800 people in attendance in that first year, Badfish expanded the festival in it’s second year by moving it to the 3000-capacity outdoor amphitheater Indian Ranch in nearby Webster, MA. It was an all-day, two-stage event featuring Badfish and other bands such as Zox, Scotty Don’t, Stealing Jane, Baldi & Suburban Graffiti.
