Seattle Brings a Slew of Talent to Bumbershoot

The questionably-titled Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival added some serious reinforcements to an otherwise lackluster initial lineup yesterday.

Organizers bolstered the festival’s foundation of The Shins, Wu-Tang Clan, Panic! at the Disco and Crowded House with a bevy of talent led by The Greyboy Allstars, Rose Hill Drive, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Andrew Bird, Joss Stone, Kings of Leon, and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. The full list follows below…

Like Bonnaroo, several comedians will also entertain the caffeine-dripped crowd. Andy Borowitz, Janeane Garofalo and SuperDee-favorite Eugene Mirman join these additions on the bill:

Joss Stone, Sean Paul, Kings of Leon, Gym Class Heroes, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Andrew Bird, The Frames, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Ian Ball (of Gomez), The Greyboy Allstars, Art Brut, The Damnwells, Anberlin, Barrington Levy, Zap Mama, Bouncing Souls, Mae, K’NAAN, Mocean Worker, Rosie Thomas, Honeydripper All-Stars, My Brightest Diamond, Seaweed, Rose Hill Drive, The Watson Twins, Stars of Track and Field, Honeycut, Ohmega Watts, Ian McFeron Band, Schoolyard Heroes, Bloodhag and more to be announced.

Not much in the way of grunge music that’s so popular with the kids? Well, maybe we’ll see a local band added by the time the September 1st festy rolls around.
