  1. damn you neeko and darren. I got a 37.

also, re: the Sharon Jones/Dap-Kings, check out the Budos Band soon making a few gigs with Sharon Jones (A Cannot Miss for any northeast music lover)

  2. to be fair, i had more than one or two educated guesses… i really did not know the exact renegotiated price of tom petty’s 81 release

  3. The Marco residency is awesome news…Looks like this is the schedule at Sullivan Hall, which is actually gonna be the new name of the Lion’s Den:

    DJ Olive – turntables
    Bobby Previte – drums
Marco Benevento – circuit bent toys, piano

    Jan 10th
Brad Barr (The Slip) – guitar
Aimee Curl (Thamusemeant) – upright bass
    MB – piano

    Jan 17th
    To Be Announced

    Jan 24th
Billy Martin (Medeski Martin & Wood) – drums, percussion
    Calvin Weston – drums
Skerik (Garaj A Trois, Critters Buggin.) – tenor sax
    MB – piano and KeyBass

    Jan 31st
Andrew Barr (The Slip) – drums
Reed Mathis (Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey) – bass
    MB – piano

  4. Sullivan Hall – really? I don’t think the name change is going to get me in the door, though a Marco residency might. They really need to step up their bookings.

  5. rope……….a…………dope.

nice artist list for marco’s rez.

caught him w/ previte’s coalition prog-rock group a year or so ago.

also saw the same group minus Marco, but w/ Robert Walter, Charlie Hunter and Skerik and it was hot.

The last two weeks of his rez at the new lions den looks hot!
    thanks ace.
