Televised Tune: On the Tube This Weekend

When Michael Azerrad prepared to write his biography of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana, he conducted over 25 hours worth of interviews with Cobain. Kurt Cobain – About A Boy uses the audio from the interviews as a narrative that allows Cobain to tell his own story. The film doesn’t feature any comments from Courtney Love or Dave Grohl, it’s just Kurt’s story directly from his own mouth. Sadly, I bet we all know how this unfortunate story ends.

  1. I strongly recommend watching the Behind the Music – Pantera on VH1 if it’s on anytime soon. I saw it last night and was totally blown away. Gripping stuff.
