The surviving members of the Grateful Dead reunited last year to help Barack Obama get elected. Now that our new President’s ready to take office, The Dead will be there to help celebrate President Obama’s inauguration in style. Relix reports that The Dead will perform at the Mid-Atlantic Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.
Tuesday’s performance marks the first time The Dead have taken the stage together since October’s Change Rocks Benefit at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA. On New Year’s Day the band announced a lengthy reunion tour featuring average ticket prices of near $100. Jambands.com just published an editorial by Dan Greenhaus explaining why he won’t be shelling out three digits to see the band and from the looks of the comments on this post neither will most Deadheads.

actually, the piece was written by MIKE greenhaus, not Dan….but ironically, the question still remains for Dead Tix – “At what Cost?”…
He’s Gone -> Obama Jam -> U.S. Blues
