While I couldn’t make it out to Indio this past weekend for Phish’s Festival 8, a friend brought me copies of the festival’s official newspaper – Festival 8 Express. So far I’ve gotten Saturday and Sunday’s papers.
Luckily, most of the articles are available online including interviews with lyricist Tom Marshall and artist Jim Pollock, show reviews and even a crossword puzzle. Kudos to the F8E team on a job well done.
Let’s take a quick look at what else is happening this hump day…
- LoftLife Magazine profiles the illustrious Wilco Loft in Chicago
- Kangfirmed: String Cheese Incident plans more concerts in ’10
- Judge rules that the ex-members of Sublime need a new name
- Check out the JamBase review of the Voodoo Experience fest
- The members of Rush will meet to discuss plans for their future
- David Schultz reviews last Friday night’s Living Colour concert
Finally, I’m hitting my first Bruce Springsteen concert in 24 years on Saturday night and I was gripped to hear that the Boss and the E Street Band will be covering 1973’s The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle in its entirety at that show. On Sunday, the ensemble will give 1980’s The River
the full album treatment.
