Pullin’ ‘Tubes: Jack & Meg Make A Movie

Back in the summer of 2007, the White Stripes embarked on a cross-Canada tour where the “brother and sister” act hit every province and territory across the country. Along with their scheduled concerts, Jack and Meg played a series of unique surprise gigs that included one on a city bus and another that consisted entirely of them playing just one note. The entire experience was documented by music video/surf film veteran director Emmett Malloy for a new tour-film called Under Great White Northern Lights.

The documentary which made its premiere earlier this year at the Toronto International Film Festival, is now being packaged as an impressive deluxe box set which contains the documentary, a DVD of the band’s 10th anniversary show, 16-track live album on CD and 180-gram vinyl, a live 7″ single featuring Icky Thump and The Wheels On The Bus, a coffee table book and a silkscreen print is now available for pre-order and will ship sometime in early-March of next year. Let’s check out the trailer…
