Earlier this week, news leaked that Levon Helm would take his Ramble on the road to appear at the 51st installment of the legendary Newport Folk Festival. Well, today festival organizers have revealed the rather impressive initial batch of artists that will be joining the former drummer for The Band over the course of the weekend. The fest, which is set to take place from July 30 – August 1 at Fort Adams State Park, will feature a heavy dose of contemporary roots and folk-minded acts that includes HT faves Jim James, The Avett Brothers, The Felice Brothers, Blitzen Trapper, The Low Anthem, Dawes, Calexico, The Swell Season and A.A. Bondy.
