Contest: Ultimate Bonnaroo Experience

We’re not usually ones to pimp other people’s contests, but when the folks at U.S. Cellular and Blackberry put together a giveaway for The Ultimate Bonnaroo Experience, they weren’t messing around. By simply filling out a basic form, you’ll be entered to win a package that includes your own private viewing deck at the Main Stage or front row access, passes to party all weekend long in VIP lounges, a private tour bus to sleep and relax in, your own golf cart chauffeur and three gourmet meals a day specially prepared for you and your crew. Now that’s how you do Bonnaroo.

Now, this would be fun by yourself but add in the fact that you can bring up to seven guests and this truly is one of the best prizes we’ve come across. Round trip air travel tickets for you and your friends from the closest major airport to your home is also included. The contest is open until May 14 with the winner being selected a few days later on May 20. Be sure to check out the full list of official rules for further details.

U.S. Cellular and Blackberry are also teaming up with the Bonnaroo folks to throw the Bonnaroo Comedy Tour which hits a few college campuses this month. Heading up the tour are comedians Pete Holmes, Amy Schumer and Kumail Nanjiani. In other ‘roo news, the producers of the event have announced the lineup for the smaller Cafe Tent. Everest, Danny Barnes, The Bridge and Red Cortez are among the acts scheduled to perform.

UPDATE [3PM]: Apparently this contest isn’t open to residents of Florida, Alaska, New York, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Guam and a few other U.S. territories.

  1. “Open to legal U.S. residents of the U.S. and D.C. 18 years of age or older except not open to residents of Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.”

  2. It is an awesome prize (I entered right away), but the taxes on the trip would be $7,000 – $9,000 (ARV is $28,000, assuming 25-33% tax rate which I think is about what you pay on sweepstakes winnings). That’s a pretty expensive free trip. I’m not sure if I could afford to go if I won.
