This past Friday night, Marco Benevento and Joey Russo (whoa!) teamed up for their only Duo date of 2010 with an intimate acoustic performance at the Highline Ballroom in NYC. Taking many fans by surprise, the pair played to a jazz club set-up with tables, waitstaff and drink minimums, but the Duo still warmed the crowd to rowdy levels in no time. Heads were rocking at the tables and select fans danced in any open nooks and crannies. One fan even humorously belted out, “Can we move these tables?”

The Duo sounded tighter than ever, and seeing Russo’s hummingbird wrists at work in the intimate space made the night. In one of their occasional segments of banter, Marco mentioned that the Duo is back writing and will be working toward a new album in the near future: “So, stick with us.”
