Stephen Colbert announced to The Nation that THE concert event of the summer, "Pepsi Presents StePhest Colbchella '012: Rocktaugustfest," will be taped and held on New York City's Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Friday, August 10. Musical acts participating in this monumental event include THE FLAMING LIPS, fun., Grandmaster Flash, Grizzly Bear and Santigold. "Pepsi Presents StePhest Colbchella '012: Rocktaugustfest" will showcase a performance and an interview from each artist to air nightly on COMEDY CENTRAL's "The Colbert Report" during the week of August 13 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.
"We are gonna rock the boat, which won't be easy because the Intrepid displaces 41,434 tons," said Stephen Colbert. Adding, "Does Bonnaroo have cruise missiles? I think not."
"Pepsi Presents StePhest Colbchella '012: Rocktaugustfest" taping will take place on Friday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum which is located on the West Side of Manhattan on Pier 86, 12th Ave. & 46th Street.
