Top 10 Bands From Lollapalooza (YouTube)

This year’s Lollapalooza was a banner year for the festival– and not just because it was the first evacuation it’s ever experienced. The lineup was stacked with incredible talent from around the globe, and concertgoers flocked from Chicago and far, far beyond to watch the 100+ acts play one of the United States’ most popular festivals. Probably the biggest frustration for everyone going was that they couldn’t be in seven places at once, catching every act across the festival’s many stages.

Speaking of the evacuation, though, promoter C3 Presents and the city officials of Chicago dealt with the weather fiasco with grace and thoughtfulness, extending Saturday night’s curfew to try and accommodate the gap in programming. While some bands (namely Alabama Shakes) were forced to cancel entirely, some bands like Chairlift were able to come back on Sunday and deliver rescheduled sets. Even so, it was a weekend full of excitement, great crowds and even better concerts.

Glide staff writer Ashley Brumback (@ashleybb) covered Lollapalooza for Glide Magazine. Be sure to check her review of the festival later this week!
