Yes Playing The Yes Album, Close To The Edge, Going For The One In Entirety Each Show

The set list for the upcoming Yes tour will certainly delight fans. The progressive rock band will play three albums from start-to-finish each evening – “The Yes Album,” “Close To The Edge” and “Going For The One.”

Each album represents a milestone for the band. Released in 1971, The Yes Album was the band’s third studio release. With songs such as “Your Move/I’ve Seen All Good People,” “Starship Trooper,” and “Yours Is No Disgrace,” the album fueled the band’s breakthrough in the U.S.

Released in 1973, Close To The Edge took progressive rock to new heights as the band cemented its reputation for sonic complexity. On one side you have Yes’ master stroke, the incredibly structured title track while side two is home to “And You And I” and “Siberian Khatru.”

Going For The One marked the band’s return to shorter songs, which, for Yes, meant most tracks on the album clocked in under 10 minutes. Along with the rocking title track, the band shined on numbers such as “Turn Of The Century,” “Parallels” and “Wonderous Stories.” For fans wanting something a bit longer, the band also included the 15-minute piece “Awaken.”

The band’s lineup has evolved somewhat since the albums were mastered in the 1970s. Today’s Yes includes co-founding member Chris Squire along with guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White and Asia keyboardist Geoff Downes. New to the band is vocalist Jon Davison, who joined earlier this year.

The schedule comes with a caveat – due to time constraints, casino shows will feature only two albums – The Yes Album and
