Award-winning composer Emile Mosseri, known for his music in The Last Black Man in San Francisco and Kajillionaire, which featured his collaboration with Angel Olson, is scoring the critically acclaimed A24 film Minari, out February 12th via Milan Records. “Rain Song” came together as a collaborative effort between Mosseri and Korean translator and lyricist Stefanie Hong, who worked with Mosseri to adapt his original English lyrics into Korean.
Check out “Rain Song,” the ethereal and stunning collaboration between composer Emile Mosseri and actress Yeri Han who stars in the film as Monica. With warm charism and exquisite vocal control, Han sings with lush intimacy in her native language of Korean. A song built on floating synthesizers, lush harmonies, and gently plucked acoustic guitar, “Rain Song” floats with the otherwordly musical touch of Sigur Rós.
