The London-based quintet Unknown Chapters was formed in 2017, as the members bonded over their shared love of alternative pop-rock music. After exploring the many facets of their artistry, blending genres, and influences, the band self-released their debut EP “The Age of Dying Radio” in February 2021, and since has vowed to release a new single every month this year.
Embrace your whimsical musical tastes via “Ink”, the new single paired with an irresistibly charming music video via Unknown Chapters. Boasting melodic hooks and inflection, “Ink” is permeated by character-driven lyrical flow as singer Andrei Dutu swings gently. Like an emo shade of Vampire Weekend, Unknown Chapters possesses a keen sense of timely vocal phrasing and tactile presence.
“Ink is about seeing the world through rose-colored glasses. Skies look pink, problems seem a little smaller and life seems a little lighter. Nothing can sink your mood. The song was written and recorded in our producer’s bedroom, completely DIY, just doing what we do best, creating art. As a band, we announced we would write, record, and release one song every month this year so here is our attempt to fill people’s lives with positivity,” says the band.
