“This song touches on fear of abandonment, which is something I’ve experienced my whole life. I used to write from this emotion in the midst of its waters but am now able to see it objectively. Sofie represents a person, but I also feel I was talking to myself here, and questioning the part of me who abandoned myself every time I connected with someone else,” says Loraine/
