LISTEN: Diet Lite Hammers Out Driving Garage Rock Via “Stuck Again”

Hailing from Milwaukee, WI, Diet Lite started in 2017 as a collection of various recording projects between drummer Evan Marsalli and guitarist Kelson Kuzdas. The band quickly brought guitarist Max Niemann into the fold, and they’ve been hammering out tunes across the Midwest ever since.
The band’s eclectic style has been described as where “garage rock meets power pop,” showcasing sweet hooks, pungent absurdity, and the spirit of drunken collaboration. Melodically forward verses, and familiar yet fresh material inspired by the acts the likes of Parquet Courts, Twin Peaks, Pavement, The White Stripes, Velvet Underground, The Clash, and Cage the Elephant, to name a few.

Roll open the overhead doors, and crank up the new single “Stuck Again” from Diet Lite before your local sound ordinances kick in. These Milwaukee garage rockers bring driving bass lines, a catchy chorus, and a beautifully noisy guitar solo to appease the Malkmus fan deep within. Keep an eye out for more tunes from Diet Lite, as the band plans on releasing a string of singles and EP’s throughout 2022.

“‘Stuck Again’ is a re-imagining of a song that dates back to the earliest days of Diet Lite. It’s been a setlist staple for years, but the way we play this song has morphed quite a bit over the years though, so we thought it made sense to make a recording that reflects that.”
