Frank Turner Rises To The Occasion At Philadelphia’s Fillmore Amidst “50 States in 50 Days Tour” (PHOTOS)

Frank Turner hit Philadelphia’s Fillmore on June 19th amidst his “50 states in 50 days” tour that wraps up in Honolulu in August. The only other artist to have done this previously was George Thorogood in 1981. I

“Well, I’ve been unable to tour properly for a couple of years now, and always said that when I could get back to it I’d do it properly. So here we are folks — every single U.S. state! I can’t wait to bring FTHC to my American friends,” Turner said in a statement earlier this year about touring behind his new album FTHC.

Turner always puts on a passionate high-energy show and performed a number of new songs off FTHC including “The Gathering,” “Miranda” and “Punches” but it was the “in your face” song “Non Serviam” which shone the brightest. Some other highlights were fan favorites “The Way I Tend to Be,” “Four Simple Words,” and “The Next Storm.”

Turner let his storytelling prowess rise to the occasion as he shared tales of Johnny Cash, Bono, his prior drug problems, along with a funny bit about his wife.
