LISTEN: Norway’s Bo Milli Puts Unique Stamp on DIY Indie With “How It Is”

Norway’s Bo Milli puts her own stamp on all the mid-00’s indie rock touchstones on her latest single “How It Is”.  Making itself comfortable on your playlists somewhere between Phoebe Bridgers and Soccer Mommy, the track tackles the tandem feelings of apathy and determination that haunts a generation with increasingly daunting issues to tackle. The release comes ahead of numerous Norwegian festivals this year and a headline show at Landmark in Bergen on 19th of August.

“Originally the chorus was this tiny bit where I say “you know how it is” — a sort of anti-chorus undermining the idea of a thesis statement. This song is mainly made up of lines gesturing towards a vague dissatisfaction everyone seems to relate to, without really saying much outright,” says Milli
