Taylor Kingman Celebrates Release of New Solo LP ‘Hollow Sound’ with Ethereal Portland, OR Performance (RECAP/PHOTOS)

Taylor Kingman celebrated the release of his second solo album, Hollow Sound, with a show at Portland’s Mississippi Studios on Friday, November 18th.

The songs on Hollow Sound find the TK & the Holy Know-Nothings frontman at his most vulnerable, and are enveloped in musicianship that is haunting and beautiful in its restraint. Flanked by the same musicians that backed him on the album (Jon Neufeld on electric guitar, Jason Montgomery on pedal steel, and Jeff Leonard on electric bass), Kingman played all of the Hollow Sound tracks over the course of the evening, along with a few numbers from his 2017 release Wannabe.

Martha Scanlan and Jon Neufeld opened the show.
