The party continued on night three of Dave Grohl’s and Greg Kurstin’s annual Hanukkah Sessions. This is the third year that the duo celebrates the holiday with 8 nights of covers that focus on celebrated Jewish musicians across history. While the previous years saw Grohl and Kurstin handling these covers on their own, 2022 has the pair of legends bringing in fellow Jewish musicians and celebrities from around the entertainment world to help bring new life to these classic tunes. Yesterday marked the third day of Hanukkah and to keep the ball rolling Grohl and Kurstin teamed up with his Bird and the Bee partner Inara George (Lowell George’s daughter) for a performance of “The Things We Do For Love” by British art-rockers 10cc (three out of four members are Jewish).
The three artists were also joined by Tenacious D on background vocals. George has worked extensively with Kurstin as a member of their duo band Bird and the Bee, which explains the natural chemistry this trio shared on stage last night. Their performance was lively as they tore through the classic ballad, you can watch the full video below:
