Celebrating their 20th Anniversary, Portland, Oregon’s MarchFourth should have been headlining festivals where we saw the names of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros and the jubilant sounds of Of Monsters and Men. Their vivacious musical charm and the communal interplay between the band and fans is one of the unique phenomena that continually makes MarchFourth one of the country’s greatest musical secrets.

On their new EP Worth It out on April 14th, they meld suave boogie, buoyant Tropicalia, brass-band funk, rock, and jazz into a prominent musical statement that is shapeshifting both musically and physically.

With exceptional musical quality and a visual kaleidoscope of performers, MarchFourth live is a spectacle of high-energy compositions, colorful costumes, and irresistible charisma. M4 has been seen on stages from ESPN’s Espy Awards to festivals like Wakarusa, Bumbershoot, and High Sierra Music Fest, to world-class venues like The Kennedy Center, Hollywood Bowl, The Fillmore, and even a cultural exchange tour to China, sponsored by the US State Department.

Glide is premiering the majestic “Howl at the Moon,” off Worth It which growls with an unrelenting organic rhythmic thunder that is both cathartic and rejuvenating. MarchFourth has earned its festival slot with this mover and shaker that is guaranteed to be a stellar show opener or closer.

“The song is inspired from deep mystical journeys through the veil into unfamiliar and uncharted realms of existence. The churning wall of percussion paired with the repeated unison guitar and bass line create the perfect vessel to leave the rigid constructs of our existence behind and begin to forge a new path forward. To outgrow our skin, our habits and conditioning we must taste the forbidden fruit of knowledge and our collective howl activates the psychedelic marching orders we’ve lovingly received. Escaping, we continue forward trusting the illuminated path ahead,” says Paul Chandler (trumpet/vocals).
