The Faithful is the brand new tribute/benefit album dedicated to Marianne Faithfull to support the legendary artist during her recovery from Long COVID. The album is set to be released on December 8 on all digital streaming platforms and will feature covers from Josie Cotton, Pom Poms, and Tracy Boham to name a few. Amongst the tracklist are Cat Power & Iggy Pop who created a hauntingly beautiful duet of Faithfull’s “Working Class Hero” ballad. The lead single is available now and is bursting with wonky melodies and ominous musicianship.
The Faithful is set to be released this Friday and will feature 19 covers of some of Faithfull’s most memorable songs being reimagined for the benefit LP. Along with its digital release, the album is being pressed on some beautiful-looking vinyl thanks to Bandbox and In The Q Records.
