There are catchy songs, tracks with such fun grooves, and soaring melodies that they are undeniable. Then, there are infectious tracks. Songs with so much personality and charisma the nuances of the musicianship jump out of the speakers and shake you awake like Green Day’s “Longview.” We all remember where we were the first time we heard a song so infectious it skyrocketed to the top of our favorite songs. Glide is premiering “Going Nowhere”(below) by Cinders, a track that reimagines the idea of an infectious song.

The pureness of Cinders’ energy is emphasized in their newest single . Blistering tempos hit you like a punch in the gut while whimsical melodies and passionate vocals tend to the wounds. “Going Nowhere” breaks the band’s hiatus since the 2021 release of their acclaimed No One’s Home LP. Cinders is back and they sound better than ever.

“You are always on a path to somewhere, but no matter where you go it always feels like someone’s doing it better than you.” says Cinders on their latest single “‘Going Nowhere’ is about the inner struggle of not knowing what that path will look like but keeping the motivation to follow it.”

The Salt Lake City-based trio consists of Montana Smith (vocals, guitar), Adrian De La Cruz (bass), and Brad Bennett (drums). Debuting back in 2016, Cinders has established itself as a must-see show. “Live music is definitely a big ‘why’ behind Cinders,” affirms Brad. “We love connecting with fans up close. There’s nothing like it.”
