Colorado jammers the String Cheese Incident launched an archival series called Rhythm of the Road this past Tuesday with the release of Volume 1 – Incident In Atlanta featuring the band’s highly lauded November 17, 2000 performance at The Tabernacle. This 3-CD set contains the entire show lovingly remixed and re-mastered from the original 24-bit multi-track master tapes. You can purchase a physical copy of RotR here or digital downloads through livedownloads.com including a 24-bit FLAC version.

Rhythm of the Road Volume 1 – Incident In Atlanta features extended versions of Joyful Sound and Impressions as well as covers from the likes of Led Zeppelin (Ramble On), Talking Heads (This Must Be The Place) and Peter Gabriel (Shakin’ The Tree). Guitarist/banjo wiz Tony Furtado joins the band at a few spots during the two-set performance including all of the three-song encore.
