As we head into the tail end of the first leg of Phish’s summer tour, we’re sure there are plenty of people out there that are beginning to make travel arrangements for the band’s west coast swing, which kicks off with a two-night stand at The Gorge in George, WA on August 5 and 6. If you’re looking to take all the fuss out of finding yourself lodging and getting yourself to and from the shows each night we’d like to point you in the direction of our newest advertiser – the recently launched Bobby D-Tour. Run by tour vet Greg Yance, aka Bobby D, the Bobby D-Tour is currently offering a variety of travel packages, which include hotel accommodations, shuttle buses and day activities for the majority of the August run.

Finally, back in 2005, the members of influential alt.country act The Jayhawks decided to go on an extended hiatus after touring behind their seventh studio album, Rainy Day Music. Late last winter the band’s original lineup, which includes Gary Louris and Marc Olsen, regrouped at The Terrarium Recording Studios in Minneapolis to record their first album of new material together in 15 years. On September 20 the band will release their long awaited new album, Mockingbird Time, via Rounder Records.
