In support for their killer upcoming album The Clearing, the Raleigh-based act Bowerbirds released a smart mini-documentary this week to gear up for the March 5th release. While the footage captures the group discussing the challenges that drove the creative process, it’s really the quality of the music that pushes this project beyond that of a run-of-the-mill promo video. Folk music and chamber pop fans will want to keep this album on the radar as this looks like an early standout for 2012.
