ortland punks The Thermals have announced their first tour of the year, a seven-week trek across the U.S. The group will start February 19 with a hometown show at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Ore., then loop around the country with 31 stops in all. They'll finish the tour at Howie & Sons Pizza in Visalia, Calif. The band will also tape an appearance on "Last Call With Carson Daly" February 6. The Thermals released their third album, The Body, The Blood, The Machine, last year and spent much of the fall opening for Cursive before touring Europe. The band is now a four-piece, with Lorin Coleman and Joel Burrows joining original members Hutch Harris and Kathy Foster. Source Pollstar
