moe. today released the final lineup for their eighth-annual moe.down festival in Turin, NY. The Roots, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals and Medeski, Martin, Scofield and Wood are the big names on the increasingly diverse lineup. And now that The Roots are on board, organizers can trumpet more than just musical diversity…
moe.down takes place the weekend of September 1st at the beautiful Snow Ridge ski area near Utica. Other major acts appearing this year include the Meat Puppets, the Ryan Montbleau Band, and Strangefolk. Early bird tickets are currently on sale for an extremely reasonable and worthwhile $95.
I went to last year’s moe.down and had an absolute blast — the great lineup and performances made me forget that it was pouring all weekend. I’m accustomed to Phish festivals, and it was very cool to attend a festival that had none of the hassles of the big boys. Everything was easy, plus they actually have working indoor bathrooms!
