10 Years Ago Today – Alt-J Release Mercury Prize-Winning Debut Album ‘An Awesome Wave’

10 years ago today (5/25/12), Alt-J released their debut LP An Awesome Wave. Considered by man to be the new Radiohead, with their progressive stamp of unique sound echoes and unorthodox vocals. The album went to win the Mercury Prize in 2012 and has made the English trio a regular theater-level act, even if topping their debut has set their bar quite high very early. Watch Alt-J perform early on in their career at KEXP in September 2012 following An Awesome Wave’s release.
