10 Years Ago Today- Parquet Courts Release ‘Light Up Gold’ Album

10 years ago today (8/18/22), Parquet Courts released their second album Light Up Gold, one that many think of as their debut, being that’s probably the first time they heard the NY art punk band. Parquet Courts weren’t doing anything entirely new at the time, but in 2012, this style of hard-driven garage rock was sorely missing in an indie world of bands trying to write the next catchy MGMT-type anthem.
