15 years ago today (10/6/05), Trey Anastasio’s short-lived and awkward 70 Volt Parade band opened for The Rolling Stones at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA. Its been the only meeting of the Phish and Rolling Stone worlds on stage aside from of course Phish regular live cover of “Loving Cup” and their 2009 Halloween costume choice of Exile on Main Street at Festival 8 in Indio, CA. The gig was significant as during the Stones’ set the show is stopped after the venue receives a bomb threat.
